Quatro Composites™ has extensive experience in the design and manufacture of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for leading autonomous systems companies. We produce fuselage assemblies, wing assemblies, control surfaces, shielded electronics enclosures, sensor housings, fuel tanks, and internal support structures. A variety of materials and manufacturing processes are engaged depending upon component size, dimensional tolerance and structural requirements. Sub-assembly operations are completed on some components including integration of bulkheads, internal reinforcing ribs, spars, and more complex operations including alignment and installation of control surfaces onto wing structures. Finishing operations include attachment of metallic components, application of EMI shielding materials, bonding, and painting.
Quatro currently produces a number of parts and assemblies for the ScanEagle® UAV including avionics enclosures and engine control module assemblies. Due to the high level of quality, customer service, and economic value that Quatro has provided on production parts and assemblies to date, Quatro has become a preferred supplier of carbon components for the ScanEagle® program.
Quatro Composites™ has partnered with Insitu in design and development of over 75% of their newest UAV, the Integrator™. Quatro is currently engaged in co-development and production of the fuselage assembly including fuel tanks, spars, wing joiners, as well as the wing assemblies, control surfaces, nose dome assembly, and more.
Quatro is also a supplier of various components for both the Predator A and Predator B programs.
Quatro Composites™ has experience in reverse engineering heritage composite components or assemblies. We can provide engineering definition including 3D CAD modeling, 2D detailed part drawings, as well as ply schedules, material specifications, and processing parameters. With nothing more than a sample part, we have created engineering, tooling, high quality prototypes, and production parts as a result of reverse engineering.
