TEC INDUSTRIES ACQUIRES QUATRO COMPOSITES
Acquisition create unique opportunities for carbon fiber fabrication

August 3, 2005 (Orange City, IA) – Tec Industries announced today the acquisition of Poway, California-based Quatro Composites. The acquisition will expand TEC Industries’ carbon fiber fabrication capabilities to include compression and bladder molding techniques.

They have used their skill and innovation to advance the carbon fiber fabrication industry. We believe they will be a great addition to our team at Tec Industries,” he says.

Quatro Composites serves the medical, automotive, defense, energy, and sporting goods markets with a variety of carbon fiber fabricated products. They are able to meet the advanced needs of their clientele by utilizing proprietary fabrication techniques to deliver products with advanced industrial designs, complex geometry, and unique shapes.

Quatro joins Tec Industries with an experienced team of executives who each carry an average of 20 years of composite expertise. The company includes specialists in engineering, product development, and manufacturing.

Tec Industries was originally created to provide MEDTEC with the composite medical devices it designs and distributes into the radiation oncology market. Tec Industries plans to have enough capacity to diversify its medical device output from radiation oncology to include devices for the diagnostic imaging and radiology markets. The addition of Quatro diversifies the company into aerospace, government contracting, and recreational markets. Tec Industries began production late last year.
