TEC INDUSTRIES CONTINUES EXPANSION OF TEAM
April 27, 2006 (Orange City, IA) - Tec Industries, a manufacturer of carbon fiber composite-based products, is pleased to announce the addition to five new employees – Steve Roesner, Tim Van Zee, Mary Ahlers, Larry Heemstra and Molly Sitzmann – to it’s team of talented professionals.
As the Chief Operation Officer, Steve Roesner will work with building business plans and strategies as well as overseeing operations. Mr. Roesner comes to Tec Industries with 23 years of strategic and operations management experience. He has spent time in marketing, merchandising, sales and operations roles from product management to operations. He has previously worked with American Identity and Den Hartog Industries before joining Tec Industries. He has a B.A. – Business from Northwestern College and an M.B.A from the University of South Dakota.
As the Information Technology Manager, Tim Van Zee will manage all facets of the network, computer and phone systems. Mr. Van Zee has previously owned and operated his own network and computer consulting business and was a network administrator for Governors State University overseeing 40+ servers and 1000+ network nodes. He graduated from Dordt College and received his MBA from Governors State University in Illinois.
As the Controller and Human Resources Manager, Larry Heemstra will manage and administer the Company’s accounting and finance functions and oversee human resources management. Mr. Heemstra has 33 years of experience in the accounting and finance area, including 23 years at Wells Dairy, Inc., where the last 12 of which he was Vice-President of Finance. He also has many years of experience in public accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant in both Iowa and Nebraska, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants.
As the Accounting/HR Administrator, Mary Ahlers will process payroll, accounts payable and perform various human resource and accounting functions for the company. Mrs. Ahlers, a graduate of Briar Cliff University, brings extensive business and accounting experience to Tec Industries. She was employed at Dierking, Lockie & Associates PC as an Accountant/Firm Administrator prior to joining Tec Industries.
As the Sales and Marketing Administrator, Molly Sitzmann will develop and manage all aspects of their marketing program including public relations, customer outreach programs, sales support and market research. Mrs. Sitzmann has over 10 years of marketing experience. At her most recent employer, American Identity, she was Marketing Manager for managed programs and also held the position of Sales Coordinator. Before that, she worked as the Marketing Director and Regional Sales Manager for Randall’s Formal Wear in Sioux City.

Launched in late 2004, Tec Industries was developed to ensure adequate supply of carbon fiber materials for MEDTEC, a developer and manufacturer of patient fixation accessories and enabling technology used in the delivery of radiation therapy. Since then, Tec Industries has increased its position in the carbon fiber composites field by providing products for aerospace, automotive, sports, recreation, orthopedic devices and sound system enclosures. Tec also purchased Quatro Composites, based in Poway, California, in August 2005.
