June 25, 2008 (Orange City, IA) - Quatro Composites, a leader in carbon fiber design and manufacturing, has become a technology partner in manufacturing Insitu’s next generation autonomous UAS.

“The Technical Development Center, located in Poway, CA, provided valuable input to Insitu’s engineering team, working with them to design their parts for composite fabrication on the next generation UAS due to release in second quarter of 2009,” said Karash Turpin, Vice President of Quatro’s Engineering Operations. “Insitu was able to take advantage of our specially designed and fabricated assembly and alignment tools, as well as our extensive experience and proprietary out-ofautoclavemanufacturing processes.”

In May, Quatro, was awarded ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100:2004 Certification of Registration. The certification signifies both of its facilities, located in Orange City, IA and Poway, CA, comply with all standards of the AS9100 quality management system.
