POSITION: Business Development Manager
REPORT TO: President
LOCATION: Negotiable ( Poway, Ca., Orange City, IA or
field based)
HOURS: 8:30 am – 5 pm (flexible)
TERRITORY:
Assigned accounts/prospects/sales representatives and defined international
accounts
JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary responsibility: Perform
and manage activities in customer and sales development to meet sales revenue expectations
and goals for Quatro Composites. Must
understand technical complexities and manufacturing capabilities to identify
and actively pursue business opportunities in the composite component
markets. Develop and execute sales plans
for structural composite product solutions.
Key duties will include:
·
execute
and manage customer development process for prospective customers;
·
provide sales/marketing strategy to develop new accounts and grow
business with existing accounts
·
coordinate
with marketing the development and implementation of marketing, sales, and
account strategies;
·
develop
account sales and service plans that lead company to grow business relationship
and sales with assigned national accounts (Tier 1 aerospace or medical
accounts)
·
provide lead qualification and follow up for leads in
Quatro’s targeted markets & core competencies
·
coordinate
and support national sales and field representatives efforts with training and
travel as necessary or required,
·
present & sell products, services and
processes of Quatro Composites
·
visit customers on a regular schedule- min 2x/yr, key accounts 4-8 week intervals
·
qualifies, documents, and communicates customer
requirements through the RFC
·
assists
company in securing approved or certified supplier status with prospective
customers;
·
participate / attend tradeshows
·
define,
communicate and assist the company in meeting customer market requirements and
trends:
·
resolve customers problems or complaints
engaging Quatro’s staff as required
·
solicit feedback from customers on price / quality / deliveries
·
identifying additional customer projects or market opportunities
·
effectively
utilize the company’s design and product development process;
·
facilitate
team communication and interaction on development projects;
·
regular communication and interaction with engineering team to
assure customer satisfaction and business growth- cost estimating, program
managers, manufacturing
·
negotiate with Quatro to establish annual sales forecasts / plans
·
participate in product / service development for Quatro
·
provide proactive feedback to Quatro on methods
to enhance effectiveness of
presentations, promotions, advertising , marketing
and customer service
·
any other sales, marketing or engineering duties
requested or required.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field
(Aerospace or Mechanical)
Citizenship: Must be US Citizen or resident legal
alien(ITAR and DOD program requirements)
Experience: 5+ years
in technical sales or related field (aerospace composites required)

Working knowledge and experience with advanced
composites

Thorough understanding/knowledge of aerospace
industry supplier requirements, procurement processes, and program management.

Sales/engineering experience with highly loaded
small composite structures desirable

Proficiency with the Internet and Microsoft
Office tools(Word, Excel, PP) required
Essential Skills: Self-motivated, organized,
disciplined, excellent communication skills; ability to build customer
relationships; ability to compose & draft sales proposals; able to promote
& present company capabilities and strategic direction; proficient user of
electronic communications; strong technical and financial aptitudes; ability to serve as the principal organizer
and co-coordinator of sales proposals; responsive customer service and high
personal integrity.
